Dubai’s Sheikha Mahra, daughter of UAE Prime Minister and Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has announced her engagement to Moroccan-American rapper French Montana.

The royal returned to Instagram with a striking photo flaunting a diamond ring while holding the musician’s hand. The engagement is believed to have taken place in June during Paris Fashion Week, where French Montana also made a runway appearance.

French Montana: From Morocco to Music Fame

Born Karim Kharbouch in Casablanca, French Montana moved to the Bronx at age 13. Starting with rap battles and mixtapes, he rose to fame with hits such as Pop That and Unforgettable.

Today, the 39-year-old is celebrated as one of the most successful North African-born artists worldwide. Beyond music, Montana has supported philanthropic projects, including funding hospitals and healthcare programs in Africa.

He was previously married to entrepreneur Nadeen Kharbouch, with whom he shares a 16-year-old son, Kruz.

Sheikha Mahra: The Dubai Royal with a Modern Edge

Born in 1994, Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum studied International Relations in the UK before continuing her training at the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government.

Known for her progressive outlook, Mahra has launched charitable initiatives, promoted youth empowerment, and even founded her own fragrance line, Mahra M1.

She is Sheikh Mohammed’s only daughter with Greek socialite Zoe Grigorakos but one of his 26 children overall. Her personal fortune, estimated in the hundreds of millions, comes from inheritance and entrepreneurial ventures.

The engagement comes after her high-profile separation from Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, with whom she shares a daughter.
