Victim Named as 49-Year-Old Alexander Cashford
Kent Police have confirmed that Alexander Cashford, 49, was the man killed in a violent attack on the Isle of Sheppey earlier this week.
Officers were called to Warden Bay Road in Leysdown-on-Sea shortly after 7 pm on Sunday, 10 August, after reports of a disturbance involving a small group. Paramedics tried to save Mr. Cashford, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Teenage Suspects Facing Murder Charges
Three From London in Custody
Police say a 14-year-old boy, a 15-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old girl, all from London, have been charged with murder by joint enterprise. The teenagers have been remanded in custody and are expected to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court.
Fourth Arrest in Connection With the Case
On Tuesday, 12 August, a 12-year-old girl from Basildon was also arrested in connection with the incident. She remains in custody while enquiries continue.

According to witness accounts, the attack was particularly violent, with suspects allegedly using a glass bottle, rocks, and possibly a concrete slab.
One bystander claimed they heard a teenager shout, “I’ve done him,” moments after the victim collapsed.
Police Appeal for Information
Kent Police’s Major Crime Unit is urging anyone who may have seen the incident or who has CCTV or dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
This was a shocking act of violence that has left a family devastated,” a police spokesperson said. “We need anyone with information, no matter how small, to contact us.
