Both winners now face a life-changing decision:

  • Annuity Option: $893.5 million paid in 30 installments over 29 years.
  • Cash Option: A lump-sum payout of $410.3 million before taxes.

Where the Winning Tickets Were Sold

  • Texas Winner: The ticket was purchased at a convenience store gas station in Fredericksburg, located in the Texas Hill Country. This small town was in the headlines earlier this summer after devastating floods that killed more than 100 people statewide.
  • Missouri Winner: Lottery officials have not yet disclosed the location of the winning ticket or the identity of the winner.

Additionally, two $2 million tickets were sold in Texas and Kansas after matching five numbers plus the Powerball.

The Powerball jackpot had been climbing steadily since May 31, 2025, after multiple drawings without a grand prize winner. Saturday night’s drawing marked the second-largest Powerball jackpot ever, trailing only the record $2.04 billion jackpot won in California on November 7, 2022.
