The world's most valuable company, NVIDIA, is preparing to establish its largest Research and Development (R&D) campus in Israel. According to Yaakov Quint, Director of the Israel Land Authority, an agreement for the construction of a major campus in northern Israel will be signed "in the next one or two days."
The campus will be located in Kiryat Tivon, near the city of Haifa. According to the plan:
- Total area: Approximately 160,000 square meters
- Employee capacity: Around 8,000 (30% larger than NVIDIA's Silicon Valley campus)
The Israeli government has offered a 51% discount on the land to encourage investment in the northern region. This will boost employment and economic development in Israel's less developed northern area.
NVIDIA already has a strong presence in Israel:
- The company recently crossed the 5,000-employee mark, making it NVIDIA's largest R&D center outside the United States.
- The R&D center in Be'er Sheva in southern Israel is being tripled in size.
- The main office is in Yokneam, which came from the acquisition of Mellanox.
Renowned Israeli political analyst Amit Segal described this investment as "the most valuable Zionist pioneer," highlighting Israel's strength as a Startup Nation.
This investment will further strengthen Israel's key role in AI and chip technology. NVIDIA's plan is a major boost for Israel's high-tech sector.
