Impressive Demonstration in Parking Lot
Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised version 14.2.1.25 has once again amazed everyone.
In a viral video, a Tesla Model Y in a parking lot stops upon recognizing a pedestrian's hand gesture and then allows the pedestrian to pass before smoothly entering a parking spot.
Video Shared by Tesla Enthusiast
The video was shared by popular X user @SawyerMerritt, a Tesla investor and news sharer.
The footage is from a busy parking lot (outside a Market Basket supermarket), where the pedestrian waves their hand to signal the car to proceed.
The FSD system immediately understands this and reacts just like human behavior.
Latest Improvements in FSD
This is part of the latest FSD updates, which include major improvements in parking lot navigation, obstacle avoidance, and human gesture recognition.
Users are saying it feels "sentient" (almost alive) and is a big step toward robotaxis.
Current Capabilities and Limitations
Tesla's FSD has now become quite smart at exiting parking, reaching the destination, and parking itself.
However, it is still supervised, meaning driver oversight is required.
Viral Impact and Future Outlook
This video is going viral in December 2025 and showcases the rapid progress in Tesla's autonomous driving technology.
Would you like to try FSD too?
